Egypt's Amr Shabana, the fifth seed, defeated third seed David Palmer from Australia 11-6 11-7 11-8 in the men's final. Nicole David of Malaysia who will become the new world number one in January, beat top seed Rachael Grinham of Australia 8-10 9-2 9-6 9-6.
